Former minister of environment and water and a vice premier of climate Borislav Sandov has sent threatening SMS-es to the Minister of Ecology in charge Rositsa Karamfilova, Eco News has learnt from its sources. According to this info the reason behind Sandov’s furious reaction is the fact that Karamfilova has fired three National park directors who were personally appointed by him and were among his closest companions. Two of them – the directors of Pirin and Rila, were appointed even without a contest.

A few days ago, the former vice prime minister of climate also organized a protest about this occasion in front of the ministry, which gathered about 15 members of the Greens Non-government organisations.

In addition, Sandov claimed in environmental circles that Karamfilova was his obliged, since he had "given her a chance" and that's why he didn't fire her from the post of director of the Environmental Executive Agency". 40-year-old Sandov's first and only work experience is being a Minister for 7 months. Before and after that he never had a single day of work except as an NGO activist and co-chair of the Green Movement.

At the moment, however, Sandov is only a member of the Management Board council of the Green Movement party, part of the Democratic coalition Bulgaria, since a few months ago his fellow party members did not re-elect him on the post of co-chairman.

Did Minister Karamfilova notify the competent services about the threats of Sandov and what will happen, we have yet to find out.
